Forever Love: The Story Behind the Song
Forever Love came from the deepest, rawest part of my heartbreak. In the summer of 2023, my relationship ended without warning—something I never saw coming. Just weeks before, we were talking about our future, making plans, and believing we were building something real. I thought we were unshakable. I thought we had forever. But in a single moment, everything changed.
When we broke up, he gave me a letter. It was filled with kind words, all the things he appreciated about me, without a trace of regret. But words are just words when actions tell a different story. Instead of bringing me comfort, the letter felt like a painful contradiction—like a love song sung after the music has stopped. It was filled with empty promises, sweet nothings, and unspoken truths. And there I was, standing in the rain, alone and broken, trying to understand how something that felt so real could disappear overnight.
I wrote Forever Love just two days after the breakup, pouring every ounce of my heart into it. I couldn’t even sing it once without breaking down in tears. This song became my way of making sense of the pain, of putting words to the confusion, the hurt, and the disbelief of being blindsided by someone I still believed was good.
If you’ve ever held onto a love you thought would last forever, only to watch it slip away, this song is for you. You are not alone in the ache of losing someone who still feels like home. And even in heartbreak, even when love doesn’t last the way we hoped, there is still beauty in the memories, in the lessons, and in the strength we find to keep moving forward.
