Behind the Scenes: My First Studio Experience

My first studio experience took place in April 2021 at my sister’s boyfriend’s birthday celebration. That night, I had a conversation with Mollet, who would later lead the sponsorship team that turned my dream into reality. Initially, I thought he was joking when he offered to help finance my music, but he saw potential in me. His belief in my talent gave me the confidence to take the leap and share my songs with the world.

Just a few months later, with Mollet’s support, I found myself on the way to the newly opened Groovefactory Studio in Bern, accompanied by my dad, my older sister Michelle, Mollet, and Dani. The experience felt surreal. I had just five hours to record three songs—Reclaim, Maybe, and Last Goodbye. Sitting at a stunning grand piano, its rich sound filling the room, I felt a sense of purpose unlike anything I had experienced before.

At first, I was overwhelmed—I had no idea what to expect. Was I supposed to ask for a guitar here or drums there? If I made a request, was it included in the studio price, or would I have to pay extra for a better sound? I was completely clueless. But that, I suppose, is just part of any first-time experience.

Recording those songs was more than just laying down vocals and piano. It was about finding a sound, the right vibe. It takes time to figure out what a song truly needs, and experience teaches you where to focus your energy and resources. I learned so much that day about the process, about myself, and about the journey ahead.

I am forever grateful for the people who helped me take those first steps—my family, Ken, Mollet, Dani, Marvin, Breisi, Flury, and everyone who showed up with love and support. This journey is just beginning, and I couldn’t be more thankful for the ones who believed in me from the start. Big shoutout to all of you! <3
